Launch of Initiative at COP 17/CMP 7 in Durban

An event has been held in Durban to officially launch the Momentum for Change Initiative.

High-level guests: United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, H.E. Mr. Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa.
Solar bottle lights Project was awarded in the Momentum for Change in COP 17. Illac Diaz gave a presentation about the project in the launch. UN Sec Gen Mr. Ban Ki-Moon and H.E. Mr. Jacob Zuba, President of South Africa were in attendance.

Mitigation. Use of pdf-icon solar bottle lights (292 kB) in galvanized iron houses in the Philippines.  Plastic bottles are re-used to serve as ‘lightbulbs’, bringing light into homes that would otherwise be in darkness. The programme will have reached 200,000 beneficiaries this year. See overview of the Project of solar bottle lights at:
